This solution eliminates the need to import ALL the quicktime movie just to get the 3 seconds of it you want.

V Useful if  shooting drama on 7D (or 5D with firmware upgrade)

currently works and tested on Leopard with a Hard Disk that has ben INDEXED by Spotlight

solution is currently mac os x 10.5 only but snow leopard ain't that hard...

tested with 10.5 and AVID Media Composer 4.02
